Job Description

We are looking for an account manager to join a well-established organisation within the scientific arena. They are well known for providing laboratory-based storage and consumable products throughout the UK and are now focusing on finding additional 2 heads within the East Midlands region AND the West and South Yorkshire region.

Operating from the home office, you'll be responsible for looking after existing and new customers in UK. The two Account Manager positions will operate within the below locations: 

1 x Leeds / Sheffield 

1 x Nottingham / Lincolnshire


Responsibilities:

  • To look affer a large established customer base in your assigned area, and continually develop new potentials to further expand your success.
  • Implement appropriate actions to achieve your sales targets.
  • Observe relevant competitor activities and develop operative measures together with your manager.
  • In addition to customer visits, you will also participate in trade fairs and other events -
  • Strengthen existing customer relationships and generate new business
  • Conclude sales negotiations successfully
  • Develop and maintain the sales network for the assigned region, working with management to achieve their top 10 Objectives, Key Account Strategy and Targets
  • Update the CRM with all tasks, opportunities, meeting/call notes and future tasks
  • Regular meetings for feedback within the group

To be considered...

Required profile, competencies

Education, work experience

  • A graduate with a degree in the Life sciences and/or a good lab background.
  • (Preferably) 1-2 years of professional experience in Field Sales or Internal Sales, preferably in the Life Science industry

Professional competence, special knowledge

  • Good IT skills - this includes the MS Office family as well as CRM systems
  • A fluent English speaker who likes to be on the road
  • However, the most important thing for us is your sales affinity. You love and live customer contact - whether you are a newcomer or a profession
