Job Description

Our client is a global healthcare company that provides a highly unique offering to their customers. They are at the forefront of the industry and provide a patient-focused service which can deliver a huge range of health benefits for the future. They are now looking to recruit a Laboratory Manager to join their growing team.

Responsibilities will include overseeing the operations of the laboratory which will include managing a number of Laboratory Technicians. You will also oversee maintenance of equipment, ordering of supplies and consumables as well as maintaining the LIMS of the laboratory. Furthermore, you will look to ensure a smooth running of the laboratory and make sure that operations are kept to timelines and efficiency standards. You will also occasionally be responsible for recruitment of staff as well as training new and existing members of the team.

To be considered...

To be considered for the role you will have 5+ years’ experience of working within a clean room environment as well as experience of managing teams within a laboratory setting. Expertise of using LIMS is also necessary. A relevant degree in a scientific discipline (Biology, Biomedical Science) is also necessary and education such as a PhD would be highly beneficial. You should be able to work well as part of a team as well as autonomously and have the ability to communicate effectively both internally and externally. A full driver’s licence and own transport is also required.
