Job Description

A research organisation responsible for critical and far-reaching research projects are seeking an Analyst to join the team in Nottingham. You will be a key member of the team, working alongside experts on intelligence gathering and data analysis projects on Mineral Commodity Markets. A strong, relevant educational background and relevant knowledge of/experience working with Mineral Markets are essential to be considered for this role.

Role Overview:

  • Collect and analyse data and intelligence in relation to UK and Global Mineral Markets. 
  • Compile, organise and synthesise complex data from a variety of sources into a range of formats for visualisation/presentation. 
  • Provide decision-makers with up-to-date information and intelligence to mitigate risk and identify opportunities.
  • Contribute to the development of new research ideas and opportunities

To be considered...

Essential Requirements:

  • 2:1 Degree (or equivalent) in Economics, Geosciences or a similar relevant discipline. 
  • PhD or MSc in a discipline relevant to Mineral Markets/ Mineral Economics or similar. • Good Knowledge of Mineral Markets – supply/demand, consumption, production, sustainability etc. 
  • Excellent analytical, organisational and communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and an inquisitive nature.
