Business Development Manager – DACH Job

Position Summary
This role will focus on developing new business in the healthcare market in Germany, Austria and Switzerland with regional as well as national distributor partners (90% of the time and 10% direct to end users).
The main responsibility is to manage the commercial strategy for the healthcare segment which includes dental, veterinary, emergency services and other sectors.
Responsibilities
- To achieve the Sales revenue and Gross Profit targets set.
- Develop a commercial strategy to grow new business
- Develop a network of key distributors and work with structured distributor management plans focused on the best profitable opportunities
- Drive the implementation of the specific business strategies and tactical plans (including marketing, sales promotions, training and other reseller related support) by distributor to achieve the targets set
- Set objectives for the specific distributors and assess their performance on a regular basis by leading quarterly business reviews to ensure ongoing alignment and performance to the plan
- Negotiate pricing with distributors and ensure contracts are in place & renewed on a timely basis
- Train distributors on the adequate usage of the products
- Drive service and education with customers
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Life Sciences, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years’ successful experience in B2B sales, business development, or commercial management.
- Proven experience managing distributor networks and developing new business channels.
- Experience within adjacent healthcare markets such as dental, primary care, aged care, veterinary, or related sectors is highly desirable.
- Fluent German and English language skills.
- Strong commercial acumen with a track record of delivering revenue growth.
- Excellent negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
- Self-motivated, entrepreneurial mindset with a hands-on approach.
- Experience using Salesforce CRM and strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Willingness to travel extensively across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland (up to 60%).
