Job Description

We are working with an organisation who offer contract manufacturing and development services to the pharmaceutical industry. The inception of this vacancy is due to growth across the business, marking an exciting time to join their team.

As a member of the Upstream Processing department you will be:

  • Responsible for cultivation of mammalian cells, microbial cells and viruses from small to large scale
  • Analysing in-process and final samples for viral and DNA production processes
  • Supporting process transfer into GMP, including for external clients
  • Working closely with other areas of the business to drive future developments
  • Providing training to junior team members as required 

There may be some propensity for additional working hours to accommodate business objectives, so your approach to work must be flexible. Above all, you must be a strong communicator and collaborator.

To be considered...

To be considered for this position you will be educated to at least master’s level in a relevant scientific discipline. You will have substantial research experience gained in an academic or industrial environment. You will be well-versed in cell culture/viral production, as well as a broad range of molecular techniques including ELISA and qPCR.
