We are working with a market leading organisation who specialise in producing innovative and sustainable packaging to the Healthcare market. They pride themselves on delivering top class products and services to a wide range of customer in order to enable them to operate safely and efficiently. They are now looking to recruit a Technical Support Scientist to join their team.
The responsibilities of the Technical Support Scientist will include supporting the team with a variety of analysis, assessment and continuous improvement projects to develop and improve customer products. The suitable candidate will need to carry out thermal and physical scientific testing, this will include working with environmental test chambers, scientific software tools amongst a range of other related testing equipment. Further responsibilities will include performing computer simulations and data analysis as well as maintaining and developing data analysis and data management tools.
To be considered for this opportunity you will have a degree in a Scientific or Engineering discipline as well as in-depth experience of Matlab, Python and Mathmatica. Experience of using C++ is also highly beneficial. You will also need a full driving licence and access to your own transport. Expertise in thermodynamics would also be highly desirable as would the ability to develop and build tools using Matlab or similar. You should be able to work autonomously as well as part of a team. A passion for the industry and product improvement would also be ideal.
