Job Description

Due to succession planning, my client is looking to recruit a Technical Sales Consultant to manage the Northern UK and Scotland territory, ideally based from the Leeds to Newcastle area. You would be responsible for the direct sales of their consumables and instrumentation into Histology laboratories within NHS, private hospital, industrial, veterinary, research and education establishments. You will also train, install and support your customers for all instruments sold on your territory.

Responsibilities include:

  • Being the key point of customer contact for the North of England and Scotland.
  • Creating demand using solution-based selling to develop leads and opportunities.
  • Maintaining a structured territory plan to visit new and existing customers using a CRM.
  • Establishing, developing and maintaining positive business relationships
  • Identifying decision makers and influencers at customer sites as well as future developments, projects and tenders on territory.
  • Ensuring sales volumes, revenue and product mix.
  • Demonstrating and installing equipment as well as preparing customer quotations.
  • Attending exhibitions, congresses and sales meetings where required.

To be considered...

  • Degree or equivalent in Biomedical Science, preferably in Cellular Pathology.
  • Knowledge of NHS purchasing, procurement and Managed Lab Services desirable.
  • Strong practical knowledge of Histopathology
  • Smart, professional experience
  • You have good communication (verbal, written and reporting) and organisational skills
  • You are enthusiastic and self-motivated with drive and persistence.
  • You are an adaptable team player.
