Job Description
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work closely with Category Management to understand current lab experiences and identify opportunities to address pain points/fill gaps
- Develop quarterly product execution plans and prioritized mid/long term roadmaps aligned with Category Management expectations while factoring in budget and resource constraints
- Partner with Category management to explore and define needs/opportunities of their customers
- Conduct and deliver competitive analysis for specific solution areas
- Define user interfaces (UI) for product systems—including graphical user interfaces, APIs and instrument interactions
- Partner with engineering to create products based on your vision, ideas and requirements
- Collaborate with Category Management and Marketing to ensure the successful deployment of new products and review their status at regular cadence through product life
- Work with Customer Support and Sales to help use APIs, SDK and other tools to help demonstrate their products and activate customers.
To be considered...
EDUCATION
- Minimum of a Bachelor of Science in Life Sciences, Computer Sciences or equivalent experience
- MBA/MS or higher preferred
WORK EXPERIENCE
- Minimum 3 years of life science software product management experience
- Experience with the interaction between data science and laboratory science preferred
- Experience with UI/UX functional design and public API design
SKILLS OR KNOWLEDGE
- Experience in UX research to understand customers’ use of solutions, empathize with them, and to imagine creative ways to make their work lives better.
- Experience with cloud-based SaaS data solutions in scientific settings based on manufactured products
- Experience with qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis
- Demonstrated ability to quickly absorb technical concepts and communicate to a non-technical audience
- Experience working with a global team, in various time zones
- Proven expertise in developing user interfaces for software/hardware systems—be prepared to share UI work examples during the interview process
ADDITIONAL SKILLS/EXPERIENCE DESIRED
- Experience with IOT, data science
- Experience in laboratories—biotech labs preferred
- Experience with data modeling and how they impact analytics and ML
- Knowledge of French preferred
