Job Description

Our client are a global pharmaceutical company who have expanded exponentially over the last few years. They pride themselves on producing industry leading products to make a difference to the world of pharmaceuticals and therapies. They are now looking to recruit a Senior Chemist to join their team.

Responsibilities will include working with clients to understand requirements in order to deliver and manage projects in relation to synthetic chemistry and custom synthesis. You will work in GMP conditions and execute experiments in relation to projects across the carbohydrate and synthetic chemistry laboratory. Furthermore, you will lead and help to develop other members of the team as well as look after lab equipment in terms of repair and maintenance.  

To be considered...

To be considered for the role you will hold a relevant degree, ideally PhD in Chemistry or Synthetic Chemistry. You will also need to have worked in a similar laboratory environment for at least 5 years, working to GMP. Expertise in HPLC, UPLC, GC and GC Headspace will also be needed. An ability to work well as part of a team as well as on your own will be paramount as will a tenacity to work to your own initiative and see projects through to completion.
