Job Description

One of our largest clients is offering an experienced Scientist the exciting opportunity to join the Immunology department of their multifaceted research and testing facility. If you are an innovative and forward-thinking individual with extensive experience in immunoassay method development and validation then this may be the position for you.

The responsibilities of the role encompass a broad range of bioanalytical techniques.

  • A variety of Ligand Binding Assays such as ELISAs and MSD electrochemiluminescence platforms are utilised by the team to support toxicokinetic and pharmacokinetic studies.
  • Immunogenicity investigations involving Anti-drug antibody (ADA) and neutralising fraction tests also support the department’s pharmaceutical studies.
  • An array of biomarker studies are performed by the team to predict clinical outcomes and provide additional information about pharmacodynamics, safety and efficacy.

In addition, the Scientist role will provide the opportunity for development of new methods and optimisation of existing ones, to contribute to the efficient day-to-day running of the facility. Daily tasks will be largely autonomous and unsupervised, although the client-driven nature of the business often calls for collaboration to meet client demands. Scientists are expected to take on mentoring responsibilities to provide guidance to junior team members, promoting their development.

Due to the nature of the industry, working hours have the potential to be flexible depending on how high the demand is for our client’s services.

The successful individual will be educated to degree level or higher in a related scientific subject and will have an excellent working knowledge of good manufacturing, laboratory and clinical practices. Considerable experience in performing, developing and validating the methodologies described above is essential. Experience of working in a Contract Research Organisation to strict deadlines would provide a distinct advantage. Above all, you must possess strong communication skills, an inquisitive outlook and committed attitude.

For more information or to apply, please contact Ryan Kennedy on 01423 813520 or alternatively send your CV to ryan.kennedy@networkscientific.co.uk.

Please note that all applicants for this role should be able to prove that they are legally entitled to work in the UK. Network Scientific Recruitment, part of Network Scientific Ltd. is an Employment Business/Agency.
