Job Description

My client are a successful distributor of in-vitro diagnostics and research tools for clinical, industrial and academic laboratories. They are actively seeking an experienced sales person to manage and develop business within the South East of England. You will focus on Key Accounts within NHS Pathology laboratories, food testing and CRO laboratories.

The territory is specifically Greater London and surrounding counties (Norfolk, Suffolk, Cambridge, Bedford, Hertford, Essex, Surrey, Kent and Sussex). The role covers several markets, including clinical (predominantly Haematology, Microbiology, Immunology and point of care), CROs, food and environmental testing laboratories and research institutes.

Role Overview

  • Responsible for meeting or exceeding sales target by identifying prospective buyers of the companies product portfolio within the defined geographical region. With the goal of expanding market share, this activity will require a high level of business development seeking out new accounts within your defined territory as well as servicing of existing accounts.
  • Negotiate contracts with end users and purchasing teams to support the procurement process.
  • Identify customer’s requirements and effectively communicate solutions through a consultative sales approach.
  • Attend and support, when required, trade shows, user meetings, customer seminars and customer events.
  • Work cooperatively and effectively with your colleagues to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain and regularly enter accurate and complete customer data, interactions and sales project information into the CRM system.

The ideal candidate offers a minimum of 2 years sales experience into UK clinical laboratories. You have excellent communication, organisational and time management skills. Good at problem solving, strategic planning and logical thinking, you are energetic and able to work on your own initiative and within a team.
