Job Description

We are searching for a Regulatory Affairs Manager with expertise in food contact regulations to join our market leading FMCG client. You primary responsibility will be to ensure business compliance with domestic and international regulations, while providing technical leadership for the implementation of regulatory strategies.

Key responsibilities will include;

  • Providing vision and direction to specific business sectors concerning global market strategies and tactics as well as growth opportunities for existing categories.
  • Enable market access for company products throughout Europe by developing knowledge of the country and regional regulations / import restrictions globally.
  • Implementing strategies and processes for ensuring products get to market in the most timely and cost effective manner.
  • Provide analytical, interpretive and evaluative solutions to complex problems.
  • Implement global, regional, national, domestic, international, and product specific regulatory strategies in support of business objectives.
  • Prepare accurate regulatory submissions to secure timely approvals in support of business initiatives.
  • Monitor the development of regulatory initiatives and communicate potential business impact to all appropriate levels of senior management.
  • Build capability throughout the business to ensure that regulatory requirements are considered throughout the product development and product sourcing processes.
  • Conduct training seminars on regulatory requirements and/or impending regulations to the appropriate business team members to enable the best global development activities. 
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of regulatory procedures to assure consistent, efficient and compliant regulatory processes.
  • Build a strong partnership with all business units to ensure seamless regulatory support.
  • Have the insight to problem-solve proactively on regulatory and associated quality issues.

The successful candidate will possess a degree in a relevant discipline. You will have proven, relevant technical experience, and experience working across various business departments. Previous exposure to, and significant knowledge of, food contact regulations is essential for this role. Exposure to additional regulations, such as; REACH, WEEE and those associated with cosmetics is desirable but not essential.
