Job Description

An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Lab Technician to join the Research and Development team of a reputable analytical company in Hertfordshire. This role is integral to the efficient running of the laboratory and is ideal for a dedicated individual with a passion for science.

Key Responsibilities include;

  • Preparing environmental samples using various relevant techniques
  • Preparing reagents and chemical standards for routine and non-routine analysis of environmental samples.
  • Ensuring that all relevant instrumentation and equipment is in good working order and the relevant documentation is valid.
  • To be familiar with and compliant to all aspects of the Quality Manual in order to comply with the UKAS/ISO Accreditation Standard.

You will also receive training in sample analysis and may become involved in method development as you progress in the position.

A successful individual will possess hands on experience of chemistry in a laboratory environment. Degree qualification in a science-based subject is desirable but not essential should relevant experience be held.
