Job Description

Our client, a radiopharmaceutical manufacturing company, offering reliable licensed supplies of PET radiopharmaceuticals across the UK to imaging centres, is looking to recruit two experienced QC Radiochemists in the South Yorkshire area. We are seeking highly motivated individuals to work within tight deadlines. This will be a varied and challenging role, suitable for a proactive individual who is capable of working to tight deadlines.

Main duties involve the analysis of radiopharmaceuticals for PET imaging.

The ideal candidate will be flexible, highly motivated team player who works well under pressure and has a track record of consistently meeting deadlines. They will be passionate about their work and will be looking for a career where their contribution has a real impact on our service delivery and patient care. Ideally they will have previous experience of working with, and maintaining, HPLC and GC.

You will be a graduate in chemistry, physics, biochemistry, pharmacy or a related scientific discipline with good working knowledge of analytical laboratory procedures with experience of GMP. Good time management skills and an ability to work under minimal supervision are essential. The ideal candidate should also have good communication skills, be technically minded, proactive and have the aptitude to follow methods/procedures precisely.

The role will be on day shifts for 6 – 12 months, then due to the short shelf life of the products, Radiochemists are expected to work a flexible shift pattern of work including some unsociable hours.

To be considered...

  • Degree educated in chemistry or a related subject.
  • Experience within a GMP regulated laboratory. 
  • Previous experience within a quality control role.
  • Experience in analytical chemistry, specifically HPLC and GC.
