Job Description

Our client, a radiopharmaceutical manufacturing company, is looking to recruit an experienced Quality Assurance professional to support the manufacture of radiopharmaceuticals for use in healthcare environments. This role will ensure compliance with GMP and contribute to the quality assurance policies and procedures of the company.

Key responsibilities of the role include;

  • Ensuring that batch records and other documentation is completed to the expected standards during the Batch Review and Release process, with the releasing Qualified Person.
  • Ensuring the Quality Management System is managed and maintained.
  • Collation of process deviations and laboratory investigations ensuring that problems are addressed in compliance with GMP procedures.
  • Preparation of performance related documents for the periodic Quality Management Meeting.
  • Monitoring the nature, extent and frequency of complaints.
  • Coordination of the recall/withdrawal procedure.
  • Supporting site validation activities.
  • Coordination of internal site auditing programmes.
  • Provide advice on aspects of Quality and Continual Improvements. 
  • Ensure the site is continually in a state of inspection readiness.

The ideal candidate will be educated to degree level in a scientific discipline ideally in pharmacy, chemistry or biology. You will have experience in a Quality Assurance position preferably in a company providing sterile injectable products but this is not essential. You will have experience in both quantitative and qualitative experience of the analysis of active substance and be able to apply this when assessing the manufacturing area. Knowledge within a GMP environment is essential.

Due to the short shelf life of the products, Radiochemists are expected to work a flexible shift pattern of work including some unsociable hours.
