Job Description

We are looking for a Quality Control Analyst to join our client’s growing analytical business. The role will be involved in the testing of pharmaceutical, herbal and veterinary products for both chemistry and microbiology with full training provided where required. The role is ideal for analysts who are looking to expand their skill set and grow with the company.

The Candidate

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a QC lab using HPLC
  • Worked with EP and BP as a minimum
  • Experience in running wet chemistry testing such as titrations
  • QC batch release experience would be advantageous

Responsibilities

  • Ensure efficient and timely operations, meeting internal commitments and minimising any down time or testing delays
  • Set deadlines and prioritise work for self, group members and support groups involved
  • Complies with all relevant regulatory requirements
  • Conducts testing on raw materials, in-process, product, stability, and/or research samples and where relevant, pharmacopoeia requirements
  • Ensure testing of raw materials, packaging material, intermediates and finished products is performed in accordance with GMP, dossier and where relevant, as per pharmacopoeia requirements
  • Assist Procurement and QA with changes relating to external suppliers
  • Use of LIMS, CDS
  • Ensure routine trending of results in the lab. Report and investigate OOS and atypical results, determine root causes and implement effective CAPA actions
  • Ensure training documents are kept up to date
  • Calibrates or verifies calibration of instruments/devices prior to use
  • Writes and revises control test procedures and SOPs
  • To uphold company procedures regarding GMP and comply with UK pharmaceutical regulations at all times

  • Strong IT systems knowledge and skills including MS Office skills (analysis & formulas) and PowerPoint, LIMS
  • Ability to form and maintain excellent customer relationships

  • Good Time Management in a high flow through laboratory
  • Flexible approach to changing priorities
  • Attention to detail
