Job Description

A world expert in engineering has an exciting new opportunity in the Welding Systems Integration Team. They are looking to recruit an enthusiastic engineer to support a range of industries including oil and gas, power, aerospace, automotive and defence sectors.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Liaise directly with end user and involvement in the process from start to end
  • Develop and implement automation and simulation software
  • Embed smart systems into automated welding equipment according to requirements
  • Programme in a number of languages including labview, matlab, Simulink and robotic controller.
  • Design and develop CAD/CAM software and writing algorithms
  • System robustness testing
  • Involvement in supporting the Team Manager in business development needs and requirements.

A degree or PhD is Engineering/Automation Systems is required. The ideal candidate will have a passion to work in a world leading engineering industry. They will have experience working in developing new systems in the automation industry. Good communication skills and effective project management skills are also desirable.
