This company are specialists in manufacturing and selling a range of microplate readers to the Life Science, Drug Discovery, Cell based labs and academic research departments. The microplate readers are based on technologies including Fluorescence, FRET, Fluorescence Polarisation (FP), Time-Resolved Fluorescence (TRF), Luminescence and Absorbance.
Due to successful business growth, they are looking to appoint a junior Product Sales Specialist to join their busy sales team supporting customers in the life science markets. The territory to be covered will include Manchester, Liverpool, Leeds, Aberystwyth and surrounding areas.
Based within the North West region and reporting to the Senior Product Sales Specialist, the role involves:
The ideal candidate will have a life science degree (Molecular Biology, Cell Biology) and either want to take the first step into a commercial sales environment or have some previous sales experience and the desire to enter a more specialised field.
You will have worked previously in a customer facing environment providing excellent customer service or have very strong laboratory research experience and the desire to move from this environment to a dynamic and fast moving sales company. You are able to work well in a team environment but are also strongly self-motivated with an outgoing and confident personality and excellent technical communication skills. You are resilient and able to cope with rejection. You may also have some sales experience selling products into a life science laboratory but commercial awareness and communication skills are more important than previous experience as full support and training will be given.
