Job Description
Our client are a global leader of ingredients for speciality products within a range of industries including pigments, fillers, cosmetics and personal care. They pride themselves on high quality products and great customer service to solve problems and enhance products for their clients. They are now looking to recruit a Market Development Manager to join their team in Leeds
Responsibilities will include working on developing new markets for existing and future products as well as exploring and identifying opportunities for new business for the company’s product offerings. You will look to work in a collaborative fashion with existing and new clients in order to grow business and develop commercial prospects. Furthermore, you will be an active and integral part of the sales strategy which will involve leading other members of the team. Travel to customers in the UK and overseas will also be part of the role.
To be considered...
To be considered for the role you will ideally hold a degree in a relevant scientific discipline i.e. Chemistry as well as have experience in a technical and marketing field within a related industry. You should have experience of business development, negotiation of supply agreements, pipeline management, product development and market research. Experience of leading and developing teams is also important as well as the ability to plan on a large scale. Furthermore, you will be well organised with the ability to manage your time productively and keep sales reports up to date and correct.
