Job Description

ur client, an international leading provider of quality and safety pharmaceutical testing services, is recruiting a LCMS Technical Specialist (Protein Characterisation) to work in their laboratory in Manchester.

Key responsibilities of the role include;

  • Providing LCMS expertise for biological samples to include; peptides, proteins and oligonucleotides.
  • Coordination of a wide range of projects from key clients.
  • Assuring all analytical work adheres to GxP guidelines.
  • Supporting junior colleagues in their development by assisting with training and providing guidance in the use of LCMS.

The ideal candidate will be educated to at least degree level in Biochemistry or a related discipline. You will have extensive experience in the practical and theoretical aspects of protein characterisation. Demonstrable experience in the field of LCMS for intact mass, protein sequencing, impurity, stability studies, method development and validation is essential. You will have proven experience in quantitative LC/LC-MS for chemical structure determination with experience in GxP regulated laboratories.
