Job Description

We are working with a Market leading global manufacturer of digital imaging, precision optics and instrument technology for the Life Science and Healthcare markets. They are a globally recognised and reputable brand offering great career potential opportunities.

They are looking for a Key Account Manager to develop and drive business in Northern UK, providing outstanding service to customers while developing and fostering relationships with existing and new customers. You will ideally be living between Leeds and York and covering from Newcastle down to Sheffield and west towards Manchester. Reporting to the National Sales Manager, this is a key role in the Sales team for instruments within the UK and you will be responsible for achieving and exceeding the sales target for your region, building, developing and maintaining long term relationships to ensure the timely and successful delivery of solutions to customer needs. You will lead and manage the process of demonstrating products to customers and support the National Sales Manager to input into the overall sales strategy.


To be considered...

Successful candidates will have:

  • Previous experience of selling either scientific consumables or instruments into laboratories
  • A Degree in a Life Science subject such as Biological Sciences, Molecular or Cellular Biology
  • An awareness of the UK science capital equipment is essential
  • A strong understanding of the Northern UK research customer environment (beneficial)
  • You must hold a full UK driving license and be living or able to relocate to the Leeds or York area.
