Job Description

Our client, a world-class cGMP contract development and manufacturing organisation, is looking to recruit an Instrument Maintenance Technician to perform routine planned maintenance and respond to breakdowns. Candidates should have up to 5 years relevant experience of delivering control/instrumentation tasks, ideally in a GMP environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Performing fault diagnosis, maintenance and servicing efficiently, safely and in line with manufacturers’ instructions.
  • Preparing the work area for maintenance of plant, systems and components and reinstating the work area upon completion of the task.
  • Conducting effective and safe handovers of plant and equipment to others and accepting responsibility for control of plant and equipment within the work area isolation boundary.
  • Responding flexibly to changing priorities, including responding to emergency calls outs when required.
  • Inducting and supervising contractors during service visits.
  • Using the engineering planning system to report progress and update engineering colleagues.

The ideal candidate will be a time-served instrument maintenance technician with experience of working in a cGMP environment. You will be adaptable with a strong focus on quality and the ability to remain effective under pressure. The successful candidate will be quick to understand the required work and develop effective innovative solutions.
