Job Description

A well-established leading provider of scientific services to the Agrochemical and Biocides industries are looking for a Head of Environmental Fate. The projects and studies undertaken by the company include those related to Risk Assessment, Regulatory Affairs, Toxicology , Analysis , Formulation and Environmental Fate.

As the head of Environmental Fate, you will provide overall leadership and management of the E-fate Department, including Study Directors and other Technical Staff at all levels.  You will have operational and commercial oversight and act as liaison for key clients and customers, as well as being involved in the management of the strategic direction of the company.

Main Responsibilities

  • Overall Leadership of the E-Fate Department, involved in Strategic, Commercial, Budgetary and Technical operations.
  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with clients.
  • Line Management of Study Directors and Technical Staff.
  • Act as GLP Study Director as and when required.
  • Represent the company at conferences, exhibitions, and client meetings.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Scientist with a background in a related field and significant management experience.

To be considered...

  • Qualified in a relevant Scientific discipline.
  • Significant Experience in Management/Leading Teams
  • Proven successful experience in client management/interaction.
  • Strong understanding of the commercial and financial considerations of a CRO.
  • Experience in related industry or industries, such as Agrochemicals, Toxicology or Environmental Fate.
  • Extensive and current knowledge of relevant regulatory and compliance standards.
