Our client is a global testing company who prides themselves on being at the forefront of rapid and efficient diagnostic results. They set the highest level of quality standards for their customer and ensure that a quick turnaround and accurate testing results are produced across their sites all over the world. Due to growth, they are now looking to recruit for a Reporting Scientist to join their team.
Responsibilities will include accurately collating and collecting data in relation to drug and alcohol testing across the business which will involve presenting information and communicating with a range of individuals. You will also be on hand to provide expert advice and support to the forensic testing team and be a point of contact for matters relating to toxicology. You will look to develop toxicology methods and seek continuous improvement as well as working to ISO 17025 and maintaining correct laboratory protocol.
To be considered for the role you will hold a relevant scientific degree and have a number of years’ experience working within a toxicology testing environment ideally working in drug and alcohol testing. You should have experience of giving witness testimony in court. You should also have experience working to ISO 17025 and the Forensic Science Regulators Codes of Practice and Conduct for Forensic Science Practitioners. Expertise across a range of analytical techniques such as LCMS is also highly important. You should be able to work well as part of a team as well as autonomously and have the ability to communicate effectively both internally and externally. Also to be considered – less experience in reporting but a strong laboratory background using relevant analytical techniques.
