Job Description

Our client, a leading global provider of advanced wound care products is looking to recruit a mechanical engineer with a high degree of electrical knowledge. Candidates should be time-served mechanical or electrical engineers with a recognised qualification in electrical or mechanical engineering and previous experience of working in a manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining plant machinery across packaging, converting and manufacturing to ensure continued optimum performance.
  • Undertaking routine maintenance of electrical and mechanical machinery.
  • Carrying out reactive maintenance including fault finding.
  • Supporting manufacturing in production and continuous improvement.
  • Setting up machines and troubleshooting production problem.
  • Adjusting plant machinery and suggesting modifications.
  • Supervising colleagues and external contractors as required.

The ideal candidate will be educated to at least HNC/HND level or equivalent in electrical or mechanical engineering with hands on knowledge of relevant plant and machinery. You will have the ability to read and understand electrical drawings and motor-control circuitry. The successful candidate will have experience of continuous improvement in a world class manufacturing environment. You will have strong communication skills with excellent problem solving skills.
