Our client are a global pharmaceutical manufacturing and testing company who have expanded exponentially over the last few years. They pride themselves on producing industry leading biologics to make a difference and help patients. They are now looking to recruit a Downstream Processing Scientist to join their team.
The suitable individual will be responsible for carrying out purification processes across downstream processing in order to support gene therapy viral vector and plasmid DNA development within the GMP environment. You will contribute to the development of new processes and techniques, working with the wider team to successfully do so. You will also ensure that records are kept and reported accurately and efficiently to company protocol. You may also need to assist in the training and development of other individuals within the team.
To be considered for the role you will need a bachelor’s degree in a relevant Scientific discipline, have worked in a GMP environment particularly within downstream processing. Experience of using AKTA chromatography systems is integral with experience of Tangential Flow Filtration being beneficial. You should be able to work well as part of a team and autonomously with a strong and clear communication style.
