Do you have a passion for design as well as project management? Do you want to be in a role where you can combine your technical and communication skills on a daily basis? Have you got experience of estimating and using AutoCAD?
Our client is a highly respected design and installation specialist of scientific laboratory equipment and fixtures. They are looking for a Contract/Project Manager to join their growing team based at their offices in West Yorkshire.
You will be part of an established multi-skilled team within a family-owned business that has built an excellent reputation for quality and delivery.
Your main focus will be on securing new contracts for the business and managing them through to completion. You will utilise all the information extracted from the Sales function of the business from their initial meetings, then through a detailed estimation process, you will design the layout of the lab using AutoCAD software, factoring in all equipment and fixtures that the client requires, and finally produce the proposal. You will then manage the installation process until completion, troubleshooting any issues along the way, whilst adhering to set budgets and deadlines.
You will be liaising with multiple internal stakeholders as well as external suppliers and fitters, so your communication skills relating to project management should be well established. The size of the contracts can vary dramatically from a few thousand pounds, to several million that can take several months to complete, so your ability to maintain excellent working relationships is critical to the smooth running of the process.
A scientific background is not essential for this role, but previous experience of design using AutoCAD, estimation, contract and budget management is definitely required in order to be considered.
This is a superb opportunity to join an established growth business that works all over the UK. As well as an excellent salary, they are offering a strong package with the opportunity to progress internally as the team continues to grow.
