Job Description

Our client is a successful and respected pharmaceutical services business and is looking to recruit a Business Development Manager to continue their substantial growth. This is a new role for the business and provides an exceptional opportunity for the right individual to play a huge part in the future success of the company.

Key duties include:

  • Promotion of the company brand at different external networking events
  • Drive divisional sales growth across the product portfolio as agreed with Sales Management
  • Continually develop pipelines of potential target accounts with Sales Management
  • Collaborate with the sales management, sales consultants and marketing team to achieve success
  • Build strong networks and identify opportunities
  • Present brand value propositions and value-added customer solutions to positively influence buying behaviors
  • Understand technical information pertinent to the procedure and product platform
  • Maintain up-to-date market and industry knowledge
  • Formulation of sales plans to develop lead generation activities
  • Manage entire sales process from lead to closure
  • Work with marketing to develop targeted sales messages and creative campaigns
  • Provide monthly sales reports
  • Travel (up to 50%) both domestic and international

The ideal candidate will be educated to degree level in a scientific discipline. You will have significant previous experience within a sales role and should be able to provide evidence of successes achieved. Having self-confidence to present to new and existing senior customers is essential.
