Our client are a pioneering biopharmaceutical company who specialise in the field of oncology, focusing on targeted treatments for patients suffering from cancer. They pride themselves on putting people first and endearing to help those in need. Due to growth, they are now looking to recruit for an Associate Principal Scientist to join their team.
Responsibilities will include managing R&D projects across all areas of the processes including managing people in and outside of the laboratory, being main point of contact for customer queries and solutions and providing expertise on a variety of specialist areas. You will also be responsible for monitoring health and safety of the work area and ensure that problems are solved in an effective and innovative manner.
To be considered for the role you will ideally be PhD educated with 5 or more years working within drug development ideally with a focus on cancer therapeutics. You should have extensive expertise in mammalian cell culture, DNA, RNA and protein extraction as well as experience of managing and leading teams within this type of work. Understanding of R&D processes and projects within biotherapeutics is also integral. The ability to work as part of a team is also paramount and you must have a strong analytical mindset and keen eye for detail.
