Job Description

We are proud to be presenting this sensational opportunity to an experienced Molecular Biologist on behalf of our client, a Yorkshire-based company focused on protein technology. This opening is ideal for a motivated and innovative individual who’s ready to take the next step in their career.

Your main responsibility will be the design, development and validation of a broad array of assays, including ELISA, lateral flow assays, agglutination assays and cell-binding and activity assays. You will also be heavily involved in the execution of characterisation experiments that will supplement the discovery process.

Additional responsibilities include;

  • Acting as Technical Lead to support customers through internal and external projects
  • Complying with the company’s Quality Management System and offering improvements where applicable
  • Continually evaluation project needs and experimental data to aid protocol development
  • Taking on line management responsibilities if appropriate
  • Contributing to the efficient day-to-day running of the facility

To be considered...

The successful candidate will hold an MSc or PhD and have relevant industrial experience. Candidates educated to degree level that have extensive industrial experience in the Biotechnology arena should also apply. You will have strong technical capabilities in a variety of molecular techniques including sandwich ELISA, SDS-PAGE, Western Blot and flow cytometry. You will also have a good understanding of protein interactions. Above all, you must be team-focused, professional and an excellent communicator.
