Job Description

This company have been supporting the laboratory research and testing market with their water purification instruments for many years. They are looking to recruit an Area Sales Manager to cover the Oxford area and sell their products primarily to Research, University labs, Pharmaceutical and Biotech companies.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring sufficient sales activity, territory coverage and future prospect development to achieve quarterly sales targets.
  • Understanding customer needs, creating solutions and proposals that deliver added value.
  • Nurturing, developing and securing new business to achieve the annual forecast.

Must Haves:

  • The ideal candidate will have a strong hunter mentality looking to progress their career and develop in their role
  • A science, technical or business degree or similar or qualified by experience
  • A proven track record in field-based sales roles within the scientific market is desirable
  • You are passionate in your approach to driving sales – a “hunter”, not a “farmer”
  • The ability to successfully negotiate and close a deal
  • Excellent influencing, communication and strong negotiation skills to enable you to make an immediate impact
  • Demonstrable experience of having built strong working relationships both internally and externally.
