Job Description

Our client is a global solutions provider for chromatography equipment focusing on working with clients from all corners of the scientific markets. They pride themselves on being top-class customer partners with a view to giving support and assistance on a range of equipment. They are now looking to recruit an Applications Development Chemist to join their growing team in the UK.

Responsibilities will include working with the applications development team within the company laboratory. You will focus on areas relating to GC, GCMS, GCxGC, LC, Pyrolysis and Automated sample preparation in order to develop and improve company service offerings. Furthermore, programming work will play a significant part of the role, particularly C# as well as work in relation to machine learning. This is a trainee role so plenty of training will be given and you will eventually develop your skills to play an integral part in the applications development of equipment.

To be considered...

To be considered for the role you will have a relevant scientific degree ideally in Analytical Chemistry as well as 2+ years’ experience of working in an analytical chemistry laboratory setting. Experience of programming and ideally C# expertise is mandatory. Machine learning experience would also be highly beneficial. You should be able to communicate effectively with colleagues and you should have a strong ability to organise and prioritise your time.
