The opportunity has arisen for an experienced Analytical Chemist to join our client, a successful Pharmaceutical and Medical Device testing business, and oversee the set up of a new division within the already established company. Responsibilities:

• Initially overseeing the validation and qualification of the new laboratory
• Analysis of Medical Devices via HPLC, GC, IR, UV, dissolution and Wet Chemistry techniques
• Calibration, maintenance and troubleshooting instrumentation
• Following all relevant regulations and protocols, ensuring the laboratory is compliant to the company QMS
• Liaising with internal and external stakeholders
• Training Analytical Chemists and taking a leadership role
• Provide the foundation to expand the services offered by the division

To be considered...

To be considered:

• Hold a degree or above in a chemistry-focused discipline
• Have extensive analytical chemistry experience gained in highly regulated industrial environment (GMP, GLP, ISO17025).
• Strong method development and validation experience relating to HPLC and GC
• Worked with medical devices (ideally to ISO10993, ISO18562 and USP788)
