Job Description

Our client, a globally leading consumer safety and environmental testing company, is looking to recruit two Analytical Chemists/Laboratory Technicians to join their rapidly expanding company. This is a truly exciting opportunity to play a role within a CRO studying the effects of chemicals within the environment and developing your knowledge within the scientific industry.

Key responsibilities of the role include;

  • Extraction of compounds in environmental matrices.
  • Analysis of compounds in environmental samples such as soil, water and plant samples by HPLC and LC-MS.
  • Radiochemical purity checking.
  • Isolation and identification of metabolites.
  • Development of analytical methods.

The ideal candidate will be educated to BSc or equivalent in Chemistry, Environmental Sciences or a related subject. Previous experience with LC-MS and HPLC would be a distinct advantage in addition to experience in the agrochemical, pharmaceutical or CRO industry. You will have excellent IT skills, be well-organised, enthusiastic and be able to demonstrate a hands-on approach to work with an ability to use their initiative and apply existing knowledge.
