As everyone in the business world is aware, the new General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) come into effect on the 25th May 2018. Here at Network Scientific, we take data protection very seriously. As a result, we began preparing for the new regulations last year when a specialist Consultant came to visit us at our offices to guide and advise us in our preparation efforts. Luckily for us, we were already pretty much most of the way there.
Network Scientific will be complying with the GDPR regulations as a data controller and, where relevant, processor of data.
See below for details of business improvements that have been put in place to ensure our compliance…
We hold all our business data on external cloud servers. These servers are highly secure and fully backed up to ensure full protection of all data held.
We recently had our entire website redeveloped and content rewritten to comply with GDPR requirements.
We have invested in market leading IT systems, including; recruitment software and email facilities, to ensure all company data is as secure as possible. In addition, requests to ‘forget an individual’ and personal data requests can now be fulfilled.
All staff members are aware of and fully trained on policies relating to password and data protection requirements across our business.
To go even further, we have been collecting and checking the GDPR compliance information of all our suppliers and associated data processors.
