Network Scientific Celebrate National Apprenticeship Week
National Apprenticeship week celebrates the positive impact apprenticeship schemes have on, not only the Apprentices themselves, but on individual businesses and the wider economy. To support Network Scientific’s expansion, we wanted to recruit a hard-working and dedicated apprentice to support our operations and help us thrive. Chloe is the company’s second apprentice and is already proving to be a valuable asset.
Chloe describes what it is like to be an apprentice at Network Scientific:
“I have only been at Network Scientific for, coming up to 6 months however, in such a short period of time I have learnt so much. In fact, probably more than I thought I would learn in the entire time of my apprenticeship! I am doing Business Administration, where I support all the divisions in the company; Recruitment, Sales and Marketing, sometimes the Directory and also perform day-to-day admin duties. Everybody here at Network Scientific are all friendly and extremely welcoming. Everyone has helped me learn the things I needed to learn for my apprenticeship and have helped me to become more confident in myself. Recently I have passed my level 1 Maths which I couldn’t have done without the help from Dawn Alderman, our Recruitment Manager, who has helped me every step of the way and continues to help me now on my level 2.
For the past two weeks, each Friday, I have prepared and presented a PowerPoint presentation to the team, explaining what the company does. This is to increase my knowledge and also to make myself more confident and experienced when speaking in front of an audience. Before coming to Network Scientific I didn’t believe in myself and had very little confidence however, I believe my confidence has increased dramatically and I know I am getting better at my work and am of value to the business.
Working at Network Scientific, I get to speak to lots of different people, from candidates to clients, dealing with different enquiries and helping people get to the correct department of the company which puts me in first point of contact. I am extremely excited for the next 6 months of my Apprenticeship to learn more about all areas of the company and industry.”
